AI is becoming a ubiquitous phenomenon. All sorts of people are now using AI for their writing. The problem is that basically, as one expert said, AI has plagiarized humans in many ways, including their writing. If you use AI to do your writing, you are using an artificial means to express yourself, your humanness, who you actually are. People like dealing with real people, not with machines, unless they can do the dirty work for them. Is writing dirty work? Is it necessary to use AI to do your writing for you? Some people are finding out, to their dismay, that AI written text is faulty, incorrect, and in many cases, ineffective. I’m not against AI, I think it’s a tool for research. I think AI also helps with dictation and transcription and other practical things, but to use it for your writing is foolhardy. Like artists, for example, if they generate AI images, are they original works? Who owns them? Can they sell them? It gets tricky. I see the European Union is also looking into AI and copyright. This is certainly going to be an interesting development when AI is taken up to be evaluated at this level.
I think you could find a situation where people including business people will be clamoring for writing advice, for getting real people to assist them to write more effectively, to stand out against increasing competition in a world filled with sameness. I provide an editing and copywriting service and certainly among my clients they value the assistance they receive with their writing. It doesn’t matter what form of tuition you receive, whether it’s from me or any other writing coach, but you will find that it will help you to regain your voice, stand out against overwhelming competition and in the end reach your objectives or goals. If you need help with your writing, contact me and I’ll see how I can help.
