5 secrets of a coffee shop from a customer’s experience

I’m not someone who goes to coffee shops every day but when I go out shopping I usually end up in a coffee shop taking a real well-rewarded break. I’ve been to many coffee shops over the years. I’ll share a few secrets that I find important about coffee shops and the beverages they serve.

My first consideration is whether the coffee shop is clean, spacious, and has interesting or inviting decor. This sets the tone.

Another thing is the greeting that I receive as I walk into the coffee shop. Look, sometimes coffee shops are so busy, the staff don’t get to greet you and you just go sit down at a table. But it makes a difference when someone sees you, greets you and perhaps even shows you to a table.

Getting my order right is important. If I’ve asked for a Americano Black, then I expect it to be without milk. I don’t drink milk in coffee, so if a coffee is brought to me with milk, I will not drink it.

It’s also a nice touch if the coffee shop adds a small biscuit to your order. Biscuits always taste so scrumptious when you are drinking a coffee.

An extra special thing that some coffee shops do is to charge you less for a refill. This is useful if you want to linger longer in the coffee shop, checking your cell phone, reading a newspaper, or working on your laptop. It gives you the feeling that hey, these guys don’t want to rip me off.

Well, that’s my five items that I think are important when going for a coffee. I could add a lot more, but I’ll save that for another time. This time I’ve concentrated on the basics, the first impressions, the things that matter most.
