It might sound like simple advice, but often there is wisdom in simplicity.
Many people know what they want. They usually don’t have to look too long for what they want to do to generate income. You only have to look around to see the high number of businesses being started in your own community to realise this truth.
Let’s give a bit of context. I’m not talking about people who are looking for a job or have inherited or bought a ready-made business.
I’m talking about people who haven’t been born with a silver spoon, may be excluded from employment, or may want to supplement their income with a pursuit that gives them great satisfaction.
Contrary to what you read on the Internet, you can’t buy a moneymaking scheme and expect instant results or even realise any results at all.
Some Internet entrepreneurs play on your fears and uncertainties about living in an unstable country.
Their money-making ideas may sound plausible, but is it something that you could put your money or heart into?
As I said in the beginning, it will come if you remain calm, have faith in yourself, and keep looking for opportunities.
When you find it, you will know it’s right for you.
It may be something small, to begin with, but as we know, small hinges can open big doors.
I know of one person who kept trying for almost a year before finding an opportunity. Then, strangely enough, more and more opportunities started to present themselves.
The thing is that during this long and hard year, she kept faith and just continued to seek opportunities and carry on with her life. It’s almost a truism, but it seems that life, or the universe, favours momentum.
While writing this, someone just called me to say that her husband has been approached for an income opportunity. He’s been waiting for an opportunity since COVID when he was retrenched. This is an under-the-radar opportunity.
Sometimes, when you set the wheels in motion and you are not desperately looking for an opportunity, opportunity comes knocking.
John Fogerty got home from Illinois and found an opportunity to write a song about his child playing outside in their backyard, and it became a great hit. He wrote the song for his three-year-old son, Josh.
