This year has been difficult for many. The economy has tanked, markets continue to be volatile, and then there is the constant needs of family, which require attending to.

Someone told me this year that he was having to give, give, give. He seemed despondent and depressed about being the giver all the time.

This website has been running for about 10 years, and it has been giving information at no charge. Some of the information is purely entertainment; other information provides practical suggestions; and in some cases, specialised information is given to help others.

Information is important because it can help change your thinking or provide a new perspective.

In these times, information on ways to trim the fat is important with tight budgets.

Just as important is information that can lead to better decision-making for income, savings, and investment.

If we look at it, money is like oxygen in our lives, because without it or with very little, it is hard to breathe.

If you are in a situation where you can give to others, you are privileged.

Perhaps you have experience, expertise, or emotional advice that can help others.

Here, I am not talking about money. That is a completely different subject and has its perils.

I once heard someone say that they’d like to give of themselves, whether at home or in the workplace, so much so that they would like to be all used up before they die.

Of course, statements like this don’t tell the whole story because there comes a time when you can’t give much anymore and have to rely on others.

But the point is that it’s no use complaining, moaning, and winding yourself up about how much you are giving; it’s actually a blessing to be able to give.
