Disruptions occur constantly. Strikes on countries happen. Wars are ongoing somewhere on this planet. We see the surface of things, unaware of what’s truly happening.
It’s difficult to discern reality when we lack sufficient data, information, and knowledge. We see flag-waving people and bumper stickers supporting causes 10,000 km away and wonder what it’s all about. We also question whether these flag-wavers should focus on productive actions, like earning money to send to those they believe are victims.
This is why people engage in foolish behavior. Do they truly know what’s happening? Do they ever consider they might be mere puppets in a broader game?
Why is it so important to understand what’s going on? It’s in your own interest because it shapes your outlook and decision-making. Do you stay where you are? Flee to another country? Adjust your investments? Avoid property? Opt to rent?
The challenge is a conundrum—how do you navigate life through events that could ultimately affect you?
It’s extremely difficult.
One approach I’ve found helpful is speaking to intelligent, well-informed people. Unfortunately, such individuals are rare. Most people you encounter haven’t deeply considered current events. They swallow what they see on social media or read in the ideologically compliant press.
I was shocked to learn that a once-respected academic institution has bowed to external pressures and will remove certain programs from a specific country. These individuals are what are called useful idiots. It’s disheartening that academics, who are supposed to be critical thinkers, succumb to such pressures or even believe these decisions are just. The erosion of academic standards is troubling.
Ultimately, discerning what’s really happening requires significant thought and insight. By examining events in certain parts of the world and making connections—that’s all I’ll say—we can see that some actions have been long in the making.
Where we stand now is critical: we must observe events elsewhere and strive to be better informed to form calmer, more rational opinions and make better decisions.
