25 March 2013, Bloemfontein – founder Chesney Bradshaw has just published “How You Can Make Money From Blogging”, a guide for university students on making income online through blogs.

Written by Chesney Bradshaw, who has 10 years’ experience as a corporate Webmaster and four years blogging on innovation site, the book is designed to give university students practical advice and proven strategies to help them start blogs that can be turned into viable businesses.

Bradshaw says more university students are looking for ways to make money online because of the high cost of tuition and the difficulty in finding jobs after graduation.

“Young people face high levels of graduate unemployment for both college and university students,” said Bradshaw. “Although online blogging will appeal to a relatively small number of students, it can provide opportunities for those who have a passion for entrepreneurship, marketing and selling.”

The book was launched at the University of the Free State where Bradshaw gave a presentation to students learning New and Social Network Technologies in the department of Communication Science.

• Getting started by finding an audience large enough to support a successful blog and how to create appealing content compelling content.

• Achieve Advice on how to avoid creating blogs that appeal to advertisers and search engines but do not follow the critical passion of the blogger who needs to engage readers.

• Techniques for building readers through online marketing including social bookmarking, social bookmarking, social media, original article marketing, forum promotion and video marketing and online publicity.

• Case studies of successful bloggers and how they went about commercialising their blogs.
